Homes in Travis Heights

The rolling hills that characterize Travis Heights also provide a combination of scenic views of either Downtown Austin or surrounding wooded valleys. Residents are also treated to a 23-acre green space along Blunn Creek and numerous recreational activities in Big Stacy and Little Stacy Parks.

Lately, the real estate scene in Travis Heights has been the subject of some local controversy. The mature, tree-lined neighborhoods are full of small, older homes on large lots, some of which are being refurbished. But many of these historic houses are being demolished and replaced with "McMansions", or huge structures that dwarf the neighboring homes. In spite of this, Travis Heights real estate is still one of the most sought after markets in Austin.

Although single family homes in Travis Heights are the predominant housing style, some apartments are also available.
